Description
This Minuet in C major belongs to the earliest group of works catalogued as K.1, jotted down around 1761 in his sister Nannerl's music notebook. Within the regular, graceful triple-time rhythm typical of the dance form, a simple, childlike melody comes through. Though it lasts under fifty seconds, its more than three hundred notes, tempo, and density place it among the more advanced pieces in this early collection, calling for cleanly articulated touch despite its brevity.
