Description
Op.71 collects three polonaises published posthumously, though they were actually composed around 1827-1828, during Chopin's youth in Warsaw. Simpler than his mature large-scale polonaises, they nonetheless already show melodic charm and rhythmic drive, offering valuable insight into the evolution of his style.

Frédéric Chopin (1810-1849)
Frederic Chopin was born in Poland and made his career in Paris, remaining unusual among great composers for writing almost exclusively for piano. He poured his longing for his homeland into mazurkas and polonaises, while his ballades and etudes combine poetic melody with harmonic innovation.
