Description
The final English Suite, No.6 in D minor, is known as the largest of the set, opening with a weighty introductory prelude and closing with an energetic gigue full of running passages. Its note count is markedly higher than the earlier suites, requiring considerable stamina to perform in full along with the musical judgment to clearly characterize each movement.
