Description
Mazurka Op.33 No.1 in G-sharp minor draws on the rhythm of the Polish folk dance from which it takes its name. Its distinctive dotted, lilting triple meter and folk-like melody give the piece its charm. At around two and a half minutes, it poses no major technical hurdles, but capturing the subtle mazurka accent takes careful attention.

Frédéric Chopin (1810-1849)
