About the Composer
Johann André (1741-1799)
Johann Andre was a German composer from Offenbach who is equally remembered as a music publisher; his firm later became famous for holding many of Mozart's autograph manuscripts. As a composer he wrote singspiele and instrumental works in a clear, classical style. This site features his Sonatine, Op. 34, No. 1.
