Description
This fantasia for keyboard was written by Pachelbel, best known as a German Baroque organist and composer. As a free-form genre, the fantasia unfolds through improvisatory figuration interwoven with contrapuntal development, offering more freedom than a chorale prelude or dance suite. Though only about two minutes long, it contains over nine hundred notes, requiring an advanced player's technique to negotiate its dense passagework.
