Description
Composed in 1787, this rondo is among the more melancholic of Mozart's solo piano works. Its pensive A minor theme returns repeatedly, deepened by chromatic harmonic shifts along the way. Running over ten minutes with more than 4,000 notes, it calls for patient, expressive phrasing from advanced players.
