This is another G major fugue likely written around the same period as Mozart's other contrapuntal studies. Even shorter than the others at about thirty-five seconds, it crams 254 notes into that brief span, requiring quick, focused concentration. These small studies reflect Mozart's effort to absorb older contrapuntal techniques into his own musical language, offering plenty to notice despite their brevity.
