Description
Composed in 1786, during one of Mozart's most productive years in Vienna, this set of variations takes a light B-flat major theme through a wide range of transformations, from decorative embellishment to shaded minor-key episodes. Full of characteristic Mozartian wit and refinement, it runs about eleven and a half minutes with over 4,700 notes, demanding expressive versatility from advanced players.
