Description

Published in 1733 as part of Handel's second set of keyboard suites, this work in E minor carries a more introspective, minor-key character. Its movements alternate between reflective passages and lighter dance-like sections, showcasing the varied moods typical of a Baroque suite. Running about four minutes, it offers intermediate players a manageable introduction to Handel's suite style.

Baroque-era suites that string together a sequence of contrasting dances, such as allemandes and gigues, into a single work.
