Description

This is another B-flat major fugue classified under the "Anh." appendix of the BWV catalog. A short subject is stated repeatedly as voices are layered one by one, clearly illustrating the basic structure of fugal form. Though brief, it requires careful listening to the independent movement of each voice, making it useful for developing a sense of counterpoint.

Contrapuntal works influenced by Bach, where each composer's individuality shines through a strict formal structure.
